How are student passwords created?
Any student accounts created starting 8/28/25 have the following change implemented.
We understand there are many new students created before this date who do not have a working password. For these accounts, please create a ticket listing the full student names.
What changed?
Previously: Student passwords were their 4-digit lunch pin + birthday (MMDDYYYY), but if the month was a single digit, the leading zero was left off.
Example: A student with lunch pin
1234and birthday March 4, 2012 had a password of:12343042012
Now: Student passwords are their 4-digit lunch pin + birthday (MMDDYYYY) with the leading zero always included for the month.
Example: The same student’s password is now:
123403042012
Why the change?
This update comes with our new account management system, Clever IDM, which automatically creates and manages accounts. Clever IDM gives us consistency, efficiency, fewer issues, and saves time.
We know even small changes can be confusing at first, but this improvement will save everyone time and frustration in the long run.
Does this change apply to Skyward too?
No, skyward student passwords will remain the same.
Remember, you can use the Sign in with Nine Mile Google Account" button to use Google SSO.
